Split Course Warning

This course will run over two days - Part one on 28th Jan, part 2 on the 29th. This is partly because a lot fo people find the all days course just a bit too intense and also because this is the only timing that can allow access to anyone living in the far east and australia without them having to stay up till 3am! 

The practical elements will run on the 29th and if you have a model available during the cvourse they will need to be avaialbe between 10 and 12-30

Molly O'Brien has become a full time freelance teacher after a 20 year career as a full time clinical midwife in the NHS. Her career has been characterised by a passion to use and develop midwifery skills that help women keep birth normal.

Fed up with saying “it’s not magic - it’s science”  to colleagues asking her to "work her magic" with women, she decided she had to teach her accumulated skills. The course began as  in house teaching at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital and has evolved into an information packed mix of practical techniques, anatomy and physiology and salutogenesis. It's aimed primarily at midwives but of value to antenatal educators, doulas, physiotherapists and all other birth professionals and has already travelled regularly to venues in Spain and once as far as  Chile as well as UK presentations.

It teaches skills that have the potential to transform practice, especially when working with obstructed Labour. Molly examines the physiology of the pelvis, the biomechanics of birth, approaches to diagnosing labour dystocia more effectively and techniques to create more space for the baby's journey through the pelvis.

The online course offer the same information as the face to face course but are split 40/60 between live zoom sessions and prerecorded and written material. This course is being run on one day as a morning and afternoon session and is aimed at people who find it difficult to manage two consecutive days
