Her career has been characte rised by a passion to use and develop midwifery skills that help women kee p birth normal. Fed up with saying “it’s not magic - it’s science ”  \;to colleagues asking her to \"work her magic\" with women\, she decided she had to teach her accumulated skills. The course began as  \; in house teaching at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital and has evolved i nto an information packed mix of practical techniques\, anatomy and physio logy and salutogenesis. It's aimed primarily at midwives but of value to a ntenatal educators\, doulas\, physiotherapists and all other birth profess ionals and has already travelled regularly to venues in Spain and once as far as \; Chile as well as UK presentations. It teaches skills that have the potential to transform practice\, especially when working with ob structed Labour.
